IHI CCH1800-3
Pollisum
This impressive IHI CCH1800-3 belongs to Pollisum from Singapore (SG) and is deployed from a pontoon. It is a 180-tonne crawler crane; this maximum load can be lifted at a radius of up to 5 metres.
The carrier is 8.835 metres long and 7.07 metres wide.
The crane is powered by a Hino EF750, a 16.74-litre 8-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 205 kW (275 hp).
The crane was deployed permanently from a pontoon, which is why the entire carrier is enclosed in a heavy frame. The crane has a total weight of approximately 200 tonnes.
A single crawler track is 8.835 metres long, 1.07 metres wide and 1.27 metres high. The weight per piece is 18 tonnes.
A total of 16 tonnes of central ballast is mounted on the carrier, consisting of one 8-tonne block on each side.
During crane operation, the A-frame has an overall height of 8.6 metres.
The crane is equipped with two 11-tonne hoist winches, both of which are in use here. The boom luffing rope is stored on a double drum.
A total of 69 tonnes of ballast is mounted on the superstructure; the ballast has a swing radius of 6.24 metres. The ballast consists of eight parts: a 16-tonne base plate, two plates weighing 15 tonnes each, two 5-tonne blocks at the sides, two 4.9-tonne blocks mounted above them and a 3.2-tonne block in the centre.
The main boom has a base length of 18 metres and a maximum length of 84 metres. Here, the crane was erected with a 51-metre main boom; in this configuration, the crane can lift a maximum of 50 tonnes at a radius of 14 metres or 10.1 tonnes up to a radius of 45.7 metres. A very fine crane from Pollisum! In the meantime, this crane was replaced by a 180-tonne Sany.
