This fine Liebherr LR 1200 belongs to Van der Meijden from Koudekerk aan den Rijn (NL) and was deployed in 2009 during the construction of a new museum in Opmeer (NL). It is a 220-tonne crawler crane.

The crane is powered by a Liebherr D 936 L A6, a 10.5-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 270 kW (362 hp).

The carrier is 8.7 metres long and 7 metres wide. For transport on public roads, the crawler tracks have to be separated from the body; the crawler tracks weigh 19.8 tonnes each.

A total of 81 tonnes of ballast is mounted on the superstructure; the ballast consists of two wide base plates of 14 and 16 tonnes. On top of these, ten blocks of 5.1 tonnes each are mounted. The ballast has a swing radius of 6.2 metres.

A total of 36 tonnes of central ballast is mounted on the carrier.

Here, the crane was erected with a 29-metre main boom and a 38-metre luffing jib and was deployed to erect prefabricated concrete elements.

The luffing jib has a base length of 20 metres and a maximum length of 95 metres.

At the same construction site, a Liebherr LR 1300 of Van Marwijk was also deployed. A very fine operation for both crawler cranes!
