This fine Spierings SK498-AT4 from Koeman Berkhout from Berkhout (NL) was deployed during the construction of a new hall in Opmeer (NL). It is a 44-meter mobile tower crane with a maximum load moment of 103 tm.
The four-axle carrier is powered by a DAF MX 300, a 12.9-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 300 kW (402 hp). Axles 2, 3 and 4 are driven. Axles 1, 2 and 4 are steerable.
The outrigger base measures 6.925 x 6.85 meters fully extended, or 6.925 x 5.15 meters half extended.
In transport condition, the crane is 15.98 meters long, 2.75 meters wide and 4 meters high. The transport weight is 48 tonnes.
The slewing radius of the superstructure is 3.5 meters. A 4-tonne hoist winch is installed in the superstructure.
With the jib in horizontal position, a lifting height of 25.3 meters is achieved as standard. The jib has a length of 44 meters. The maximum load of 8 tonnes can be lifted up to a radius of 12.85 meters; at maximum radius, the capacity is still 1.9 tonnes. A fine crane from Koeman Berkhout!
