This impressive Terex AC 250-1 belongs to Huationg (Asia) from Singapore (SG) and was deployed during a weekend for lifting work at a factory. It is a 250-tonne telescopic crane mounted on a 6-axle carrier.

The 6-axle carrier is powered by a Mercedes-Benz 8-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 450 kW (612 hp). Axles 2, 4, and 6 are driven, while axles 1 to 3, 5, and 6 are steerable. The fourth axle is liftable.

When packed for transport, the crane measures 16.97 meters in length, 4 meters in height, and 3 meters in width. The transport weight is approximately 92 tons.

The outrigger base measures 8.7 x 8.5 meters, or half 8.7 x 5.54 meters. The outrigger pads are carried on the crane during road transport.

Here the crane was deployed with the full counterweight of 96.6 tons; the counterweight has a slewing radius of 5.6 meters. 15 tons of counterweight are carried on the carrier, while the remaining counterweight is delivered on trucks.

The superstructure is powered by a Mercedes-Benz diesel engine with an output of 205 kW (279 hp). The superstructure cab can be tilted by 20 degrees.

The crane is equipped with a seven-section main boom with a base length of 14.5 meters. The main boom telescopes six times to a maximum length of 80 meters. Optionally, a 10.4 - 20 meter folding jib can be mounted to the main boom. The jib can be hydraulically adjusted at an angle between 0 and 40 degrees against to the main boom.

Here the main boom was extended to a length of 77.2 meters.

A very beautiful crane from Huationg (Asia)!
