This sharp Hitachi Sumitomo SCX700 PD belongs to Kuipers from Lemmer (NL) and was used on a large construction site in Purmerend (NL) to drive vibro piles into the ground.
The Hitachi Sumitomo SCX700 crawler crane was purchased in 2007 and by Kuipers themself modified to pile driving rig. The pile driver has an operational mass of 115 tonnes.
The undercarriage is 5.93 meters long and 4.79 meters wide. For the transport over the road is the width to be reduced to 3.2 meters only.
The base machine is powered by an Isuzu BB-6HK1T, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 136 kW (185 hp). To power the hydraulic hammer is a large powerpack mounted at the rear, with a Scania diesel engine with 350 hp inside. Below the powerpack is a 5-tonne counterweight slab mounted.
When the empty vibro pile is driven into the ground is this filled with rebar and concrete. Then is the steel tube driven out of the ground again.
In the leader is hanging a Junttan HHK7A hydraulic hammer.
The main boom has a 24 meter length, the leader has a 35 meter length. The leader could be extended to a maximum length of 43 meters, but needs assistance of an auxilairy crane to bring it up.
A very sharp piling rig of Kuipers!
