This beautiful DAF XF 105.510 belongs to C. Zwagerman from Nederhorst den Berg (NL). It is a 5-axle truck with a heavy loading crane, seen here transporting crane components with a 7-axle Nooteboom semi low-loader.

The load on the 7-axle trailer consists of two crawlers of a Liebherr LR 1130, each weighing 16 tonnes. On top of them, two boom sections of the luffing jib are loaded, each 11.8 metres long and weighing 0.96 tonnes.

The truck, with a 10x4 drive configuration, is powered by a DAF 12.9-litre 6-cylinder inline diesel engine delivering 380 kW (510 hp). A heavy Fassi F1500XP loading crane is mounted behind the cab.

Behind the first axle, the AdBlue tank is mounted; behind the second axle, a small storage box is fitted; and behind the third axle, a diesel tank is installed. On the opposite side, the exhaust silencer, another small storage box, and a second diesel tank located.

The crawlers can be unloaded from the trailer by the crawler crane itself.

Here, 30.5 tonnes of counterweight from the crawler crane are being lifted, which is the heaviest load that can be lifted by this loading crane at a radius of 3.55 metres.

The outriggers beside the crane can be extended to a maximum width of 10 metres.

Furthermore, the loading crane was used to fully assemble the crawler crane, avoiding the need for a smaller mobile crane.

Two large outriggers are also installed at the rear of the chassis. A very fine vehicle by C. Zwagerman!
