This interesting Scania 164 L 580 belongs to S.H. Hong Huat from Johor Bahru (MY) and was parked in the evening at an industrial site in Singapore (SG). The combination consists of a 3-axle truck with a 5-axle low loader.

The truck is powered by a Scania DC16, a 16-liter 8-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 426 kW (579 hp). This truck has a 6x4 drive system, with both rear axles being driven.

The diesel tank is mounted behind the front axle.

A 5-axle low loader is being towed; the two rear axles can be lifted (in Singapore). In Malaysia, the axles must be activated. All axles are rigid and not steerable. The payload capacity of this combination is approximately 38 tons.

The load is the base machine of a Sumitomo LS-248RH-5, a 150-ton crawler crane. The body measures 8 meters in length, 3.4 meters in width, and 3.1 meters in height. The weight is approximately 32 tons.

Behind the Scania 164 L 580, a Scania 144 L 530 was parked, also with a 5-axle low loader. This combination had loaded both crawler tracks of the Sumitomo, each weighing 19.7 tons.

A very fine combination from S.H. Hong Huat!
