This attractive Volvo FH 540 belongs to Gropper Baumaschinen from Ummendorf (DE) and was parked on an industrial estate during a weekend. The combination consists of a 3-axle truck with a 3-axle trailer.
The truck is powered by a Volvo D13C, a 12.8-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 396 kW (540 hp). The truck has a 6x2 drivetrain, the first and second axles are steerable, only the rear axle is driven.
Behind the front axle the exhaust silencer and the AdBlue tank are mounted.
On this side the diesel tank is mounted behind the front axle.
A 3-axle Faymonville semi low loader is coupled here. The trailer is equipped with loading ramps so that construction machines can easily load and unload themselves.
The load is a Liebherr A 900 C that is approximately 8.55 metres long, 2.55 metres wide and 3.16 metres high. The total weight is approximately 16.5 tonnes.
