Antara Koh

This highly impressive and striking Sumitomo LS-568HD is operated by Antara Koh from Singapore (SG) at their yard there. It is a 150-ton crawler crane.

The crane is powered by a Mitsubishi 8DC9-T, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 264.8 kW (360 hp).

The undercarriage of the crane is 8.99 metres long and 6.73 metres wide. The tracks are 1.12 metres wide.

No central ballast is mounted on the undercarriage.

The crane is equipped with two 15-ton hoist winches.

Approximately 55 tonnes of ballast are mounted on the upper structure, consisting of a base plate weighing an estimated 20 tonnes and four blocks of 8.75 tonnes each. The ballast has a slewing radius of 6 metres.

The LS-568HD was primarily designed as a material handling crane and can be used with grabs up to 22 tonnes. Later, this crane type was marketed as the SC1500HD.

In working position, the A-frame has a total height of 8.17 metres.

The main boom has a base length of 18.29 metres and can be extended to a maximum length of 82.3 metres. Optionally, a fixed jib can be mounted to the main boom; it has a maximum length of 30.48 metres and can be installed on a main boom of up to 73.15 metres.

This crane was erected with a 42.67-metre main boom. In this configuration, the crane can lift a maximum of 62.5 tonnes at a radius of 10 metres or 11.3 tonnes at up to 38 metres radius.
