Scania R 500
S.E. Hong Huat
This fine Scania R 500 belongs to S.E. Hong Huat from Johor Bahru (MY) and, like the Scania 164 L 580, was used for transporting components of a Sumitomo crawler crane. The combination consists of a 3-axle truck with a 5-axle low-loader.
The 6x4-driven truck is powered by a Scania DC16, a 15.6-liter 8-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 368 kW (500 hp).
On this side, the diesel tank is mounted behind the front axle.
The combination is loaded with counterweights and boom sections of the Sumitomo crawler crane.
